Today, I’ve launched a campaign with my friends at PledgeMusic to bring my new album, Little Hopes, to life.
It’s been a long time coming, indeed. This album has gone through a lot of changes over the last few years–the album that will be released in the spring bears almost no resemblance to the version that was planned as a Maggie Mayday full-length. I played almost every note, though there are cameos from Troy Pohl (who also co-produced two tracks), the members of Maggie Mayday, and the ever-so-talented Kristin Fayne-Mulroy, who sings harmony on the first song. Dominick Campana produced one track, and “Uncle” Brett Portzer let me live in his studio for a week. Michael “Mama” Tudor mastered it and helped out with the mixing. Phil Pascuzzo created the cover art (which will get a proper introduction next week) and is developing the packaging. It’s all pretty much finished, really.
Now I just need your help in making it a real THING.
Over the next 60 days, you can pledge your support for the project by pre-ordering the CD, or opting for one of many bonus packages, including autographed merch, house concerts, and personalized songs. When you pledge, you gain access to a series of exclusive video and audio content, which will eventually amount to a second album or more. The real fun begins once we roll past the goal amount: With luck, Little Hopes will get a vinyl pressing, and I’ll be able to hit the road this spring to bring the music to you personally.
I’ll be unveiling bits and pieces of the album as we go along, right on through the end of February (and beyond). The album will be officially released in April, but you’ll hear it well before that.
